It is so hard for me to pick out one favorite children's book and my answer to this might vary depending on the day, but I'm going to say Mrs. Piggle Wiggle. I subscribe to your blog in Google Reader. milou2ster(at)gmail.com

My daughter loves penguins. One of her current favorites is Little Penguin's Tale by Audrey Wood--it's fun for us to read, too.

I follow you publicly on Blogger and tweeted the giveaway here:http://twitter.com/allisonmariecat

My favorite book was Seeds & More Seeds. It was an I Can Read book. My mom said that I drove her crazy making her read it...especially since I knew every word by heart but refused to read it myself.

I subscribe with google reader.

Thanks! :0)

I have a very hard time picking a favorite but have been inspired by reading the comments. As a young child I enjoyed (of course) Dr Seuss and any Sesame Street book featuring Grover. Then I grew into Mrs. Piggle Wiggle (thanks to BermudaOnion) but also loved the classic Oz series as well as Mary Poppins. And people have been talking recently about the "I Can Read" series...I'd love to get my hands on a copy of those for my daughter!

I had a few favorites: Miss Piggywiggle's Magic, the P.L. Travers Mary Poppins series, the Pippi Longstocking books, All of a Kind Family, Pickle Chiffon Pie, and Where the Sidewalk Ends. I think I liked Miss Piggywiggle's Magic best of all.
