Win Dare to Surrender by Lilli Feisty

Dare to Surrender
by Lilli Feisty

HE MEETS HIS MATCH. SHE MEETS HER MASTER. Art gallery curator Joy Montgomery has never liked her body's generous curves. And she's always been too shy to explore her wild side. But tonight, everything is going to change . . . Desperate to save her job, Joy approaches bad-boy artist Ash Hunter and asks him to exhibit his erotic work at her gallery. Ash agrees on one condition: Joy must pose as his model. But business soon turns to pleasure, as Joy experiences a passion beyond her wildest imaginings and Ash finds more than just inspiration in his voluptuous new muse.

Five Fun Facts

1) In Dare to Surrender, my heroine drives a 1979 Diesel Mercedes exactly like the one I drive. I've had two diesel Mercedes, one of which I accidentally filled up with regular gasoline. Turns out diesel cars don't run on gasoline. Who knew? I also drove away from a gas station with the fuel nozzle still inserted in the tank. I didn't notice I had the nozzle sticking out of my car until I glanced in my side mirror to make a left hand turn. I have a long, exciting history with this specific type of vehicle so I had to write one into this story.

2) Joy has a secret habit of belly dancing in the privacy of her own home. When I was writing Dare to Surrender, I played instructional belly dancing videos in the background during most of the time I spent writing. I admit once in awhile I'd get up and dance. When no one was watching, of course.

3) My inspiration for my hero, Ash Hunter, was based on Joe Anderson, who played Henry Austen in the movie Becoming Jane.

4) I've never written a story without at least one sexy scene involving food. Dare to Surrender was no exception. I never knew French fries could be so hot. Pun intended.

5) Dare to Surrender takes place in the San Francisco Bay Area. Nearly every location is based on an actual place I know intimately. Any reader who wants to know more about my barely disguised locals, feel free to email me at lilli@lillianfeisty.com.

  1. I've done so many embarrassing things but unfortunately none while driving my car. I guess maybe this one would work...I mean I was embarrassed.

I was driving home from work in a great hurry...came up behind a car in the left turn lane...the turn signal had the left arrow but she was just sitting there...I kept beeping the horn until I suddenly realized she couldn't turn left because the lane was full of cars and she would have been stuck out in the intersection.

  3. I loved Lilli's book Bound To Please, it would be awesome to win this one!

Embarrasing moment....when I first got my driver's license, my dad let me take his car to work. That night when I was leaving work, I couldn't get the car to move so I went back into work and asked my manager if he could tell what was wrong with the car. When we got to the car, he told me to start it up again and he'd have a look. After a few minutes under the hood, he came around to my window and looked in, then said " You know you have to shift from Park to Drive in order for the car to move... right?
It was a long time before I lived that awful moment down, LOL!

  8. I had just gotten back from shopping with my sister and we were showing off our new 6inch stilleto boots when someone glanced out the window and said,"Is that your car rolling down the driveway?"
I had "parked" my standard shift '89 Camaro in NEUTRAL on a hill! I ran outside but couldn't fit my newly shod feet in to get to the clutch or brake! Thank goodness the car stopped at the road!

  18. If I've ever done anything really embarrassing while driving I've surely repressed the memories. The only thing I can think of was the one time I fell asleep while driving, and that's more embarrassing in hindsight than it was in the moment.

  23. I had a very embarrassing car moment pulling into the parking lot at work one day. I was running late, drinking my coffee and eating breakfast while I was driving. Just as I pulled into the parking space, my very attractive male coworker walked by and waved. I waved back, spilling hot coffee right into the lap of my white pants. This startled me, and I rear-ended the car parked in front of me. His car! He was kind, my face was red, red, red! Since I had to go home and change clothes, I was also late for work. My face was even redder later at work when I found out that several people had seen the whole thing through the office window.

  25. During my first lesson driving a manual, I stopped at a red light at the top of a hill on a one lane road with parking on either side of the lane. I had never practistarting on a hill, every time I attempted to drive off the car rolled backward. Eventually, the police were called to force the other drivers to evacuate the street so that I could roll back to level ground.

  50. I guess that I am basically pretty dull. The most embarassing thing that I have done while driving is practice singing or saying my parts in a play that I was rehearsing for. I had so many people ask me why I was talking so much to myself in the car.
