Reading Challenges Centered Around the Library

For me, the majority of these books will be found at my local library, so that is why I am putting them together.




Challenge Details:
  • Timeline: Jan 1, 2012 - Dec 31, 2012
  • Levels:
    • Dilettante: 1-5 non-fiction books (My level)
    • Explorer: 6-10 non-fiction books
    • Seeker: 11-15 non-fiction books
    • Master: 16-20 non-fiction books
  • Any non-fiction book, adult or young adult, counts
  • Do not need to be a blogger to join.

Challenge Details:
  • Timeline: Jan 1, 2012 - Dec 31,2012
  • Sign-ups until Nov 30, 2012
  • Levels:
    • Elementary: 5 non-fiction books (My Level)
    • Diploma: 10 non-fiction books
    • Bachelor's Degree: 15 non-fiction books
    • Master's Degree: 25 non-fiction books
  • Following books DO NOT count: Reference books, cookbooks and instruction manuals that are not meant to be read cover to cover; Essays and articles; How-to, self-help or travel books that are not read cover to cover; Memoirs, journals and autobiographies;  Books written for children; Re-reads don't count since the point is to learn something new
  • Books can be any format
  • Crossovers are okay
  • Not necessary to list books ahead of time
  • Reviews are not required, but there will be quarterly link-up for those who do
  • A wrap-up post at year end is required to be considered for the giveaway

  • Must complete main monthly challenge; mini challenges are optional
  • Rereads are okay

    • Hiker: Read 5 genres
    • Backpacker: Read 5-10 genres (My Level)
    • Traveler: Read 10-15 genres
    • Palin-esque: Read 20+ genres
  • Read as many different genres as you can - list of genres can be found at host site.
  • Review copies are okay to use
  • Crossovers are okay
  • Blog not required
