But if I absolutely had to choose today I would pick A Perfect Blood by Kim Harrison, it has humor, adventure, and tears with characters I love.   27. There are a lot of dystopians that I love! Shatter Me by Taherah Mafi might be my favorite. I also love Taking on the Dead by Annie Walls and the Vampire Apocalypse series by HM Ward.

  30. I would save Inheritance by Christopher Paolini! And the world isnt ending the Mayan calendar is circluar; therefore the circle is starting over (think of a clock striking midnight) its awesome bc instead of 24 hours like a clock its a 50 year long calendar. :) So ya, no end of the world...................as an anthropology major this is getting really annoying.

  45. I read The Road last year - intense and really captured the hopeless atmosphere.

    Andre Norton was the first author I experienced post-apocalyptic genre through. Her works will always have a warm place in the brain and on my shelf.
