I didn't like her much when we were kids, because she was the baby, and I had to babysit a lot a miss some Friday and Saturday night dates.
But now we are grown adults each of us married to our sweethearts. She has 2 boys, 5 cats, 2 dogs, 1 turtle and a partridge in a pear tree. (Sorry I couldn't resist that) I have 1 terrific son and 1 elderly 19 yr old cat.
luvfuzzzeeefaces at yahoo dot comJuliannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12164826292691924598noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8722347431422623339.post-73692243260085321892011-11-05T20:25:03.467-05:002011-11-05T20:25:03.467-05:00Honestly, my sibs and I have never had sibling riv...Honestly, my sibs and I have never had sibling rivalry. Others have compared us and even gone so far as to tell us where we are wanting but we have never done it with each other. As far as sibling love goes, we will pick up and travel at a moments notice to help each other. One Christmas, I went to my sister's house to help her organize because their house was on the market and their son had recently been diagnosed with diabetes (hey, when it rains, it pours). My sister and her husband had to attend the year end party at his office so I stayed home to watch her baby and decorate. I spent most of the night stringing lights on the tree. I should mention the tree was already decorated when the lights blew so I had to work around that little problem.
For my 40th birthday, my sister brought her whole family to town. Super fun! My brother called me at the last minute and told me he was able to adjust his schedule. So, sneaky me, told him to tell everyone he couldn't make it. Then I had my husband lie about having to stop by work on my birthday. We all headed to the park for my party while my husband picked up my brother at the airport. When we got to the park my brother was hiding in the ranger station and jumped out to surprise everyone! Totally amazing!
I am really blessed to have two sibs that are so great!
jepebATverizonDOTnetJen B.https://www.blogger.com/profile/04737375224830943067noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8722347431422623339.post-8982407517706408702011-11-05T16:33:16.306-05:002011-11-05T16:33:16.306-05:00Awesome, awesome idea :)I am an only child too! That usually makes people chuckle but boy does it make my mom mad!!

I've wondered what its like to have siblings..but you can't miss what you never had. :)

rachie2004 AT yah00 *d8t* c-m
http://brunettelibrarian.blogspot.comThe Brunette Librarianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01274190099219658110noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8722347431422623339.post-43033218516675634292011-11-05T12:18:55.295-05:002011-11-05T12:18:55.295-05:00Hi, Kristi! (Mom said after the third one, she finally figured out what was causing it! ;-) ) My sister is the oldest, I'm in the middle and my brother is the youngest. We all fought as siblings do but it was funny that there was always two against one, the pairing of which changed often. Our father passed away shortly after my brother was born leaving Mom to bring us up. She did a great job but of course we missed having a father. My sister was the prissy one and always trying to pick a fight with me. Mom always told me to keep the peace. Well, one day I had had enough of that keeping the peace crap, and let my sister have it by scratching some skin off her back. Yes, that was mean but she then realized I wouldn't take her "stuff" anymore. As for my brother. Yikes! He was friends with a boy down the street upon whom I had a huge crush. Well, my brother brought him home one day, opened the cabinet door to expose a HUGE box of Kotex and told him that I used them! I wanted to die! This all sounds mean but today we are very close and would protect each other with our very lives. Sibling rivalry is simply a normal part of growing up.

Connie Fischer
conniecape@aol.comConniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03217408544219883095noreply@blogger.com
