About the Author: Shawn McGuire started writing after seeing the first Star Wars movie (that’s episode IV) as a kid; she couldn’t wait for the next one so wrote her own episodes. Sadly, those notebooks are long lost. STICKS AND STONES is her debut and is the first in the planned five-book YA fantasy series, THE WISH MAKERS. About the author: It was while she was supposed to be studying for her final high school exams that Melanie Milburne read her first Mills & Boon novel. Reed woke up in a sweat, breathing heavily, as if from a bad dream. But it hadn’t been bad at all.
