Teaser Tuesday 5-12-2009

TEASER TUESDAYS asks you to:
Grab your current read.
Let the book fall open to a random page.
Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
Please avoid spoilers!

She's asleep in her bed, just don't wake up. I grab her arm; it's like a tray of ice. She's dead.* (p352 The Four Corners of the Sky)

As you can see, I am reading The Four Corners of the Sky by Michael Malone. I am liking it so far, though it has a lot of what seems like unnecessary information at this point. I am hoping that as the story comes together, I will see the reason for everything. As for the quote above, I am not there yet, so I have no idea to what it is referring. It is a teaser for me as well! Is anyone else reading this book - which is being released today?

Teaser Tuesday is hosted at Should be Reading. Come on over and share your teaser, too!

(*This quote is from an Advanced Reader's Copy - final copy may differ.)

I agree about the unnecessary information. I'm reading this too, and feel like the info is slowing my reading. The plot is interesting though, I just wished it moved faster.

I really liked the teaser.

I am going to wait to see what you have to say before putting onto my TBR list.

The writing style sounds a bit strange to me. I hope the plot picks up!

Yikes! It's probably too easy to assume she died of natural causes.

Here's my Teaser! ~ Wendi
