Teaser Tuesday: 1-5-2010

TEASER TUESDAYS asks you to:
Grab your current read.
Let the book fall open to a random page.
Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you have given!
Please avoid spoilers!

If you're in the wrong place at the wrong time, with the wrong person, you might find yourself in the uncomfortable position of being asked to or actually doing something you absolutely don't want to do. You may not know what to say. You may not know how to stop. (p59, What Your Mother Never Told You by Richard Dudum)

That sounds exactly like the things my mother did tell me! And it's very true. Also a great teaser!
Here's mine.

The older I get the more I remember the things my mother told me. A lot of them at the time seemed like cliches but it turns out she was right on almost all the time.

Here is my teaser

Have a great week and happy reading.

The memory of heartrending sobs echoing through the floorboards touched a tender spot in Emmy's heart.

The only thing to do was tell the truth.

Here are my teasers. They are from Emmy's Equal by Marcia Gruver
